’ve never not been sure that I was a photographer any more than you would not be sure you were yourself. I was a photographer, or wanting to be a photographer, or beginning-but some phase of a photographer I’ve always been.

ME

This has become my mission as a photographer, to
create images in their truest form by capturing those
very special and brief moments in people’s lives with
my camera. It is my hope that my client’s can one
day share their photographs with their children and grandchildren, and that those images represent exactly who
they were and how they felt in that exact moment in their lives.

I have always been drawn to photographs.
I have fond memories of sitting on the floor with my
great-grandmother sifting through box after box of her
loose photos, each with its story and memory of another
time. My grandmother would write on the backs of
her photographs recording each person, place, and
time to help the rest of us keep those memories alive.
My mother kept countless catalogs of photographs
of my sister and I growing up, with each milestone
placed in chronological order. I guess this is where
it all began. Whether I was looking at images of my
parents, grandparents, or a younger version of myself,
they all represented a time that I did not know or could
remember. Yet, by having those tangible photographs
to hold and see I felt, in a small way, a part of those
memories that had now faded.
